Meet Ellie!
‘‘Ellie began her journey in musical theatre after joining an amateur dramatic society, where she discovered a real love for performing as part of the ensemble. Wanting to improve her vocal ability and confidence, she started singing lessons with Kay, and it proved to be a transformative experience. Kay’s teaching not only developed Ellie’s vocal technique but also built her confidence, stage presence, and understanding of how to use her voice safely and effectively across different roles and styles.
Throughout multiple shows, Ellie felt consistently supported and encouraged, with lessons tailored to the challenges she faced on stage.
After a great deal of hard work and dedication, Ellie achieved her dream of performing the role of Tracey Turnblad in Hairspray with Knighton Park Amateur Dramatic Society at the Little Theatre—an achievement that was met with 5-star reviews. She has since gone on to use the skills, knowledge, and confidence gained with Kay in a new capacity, becoming Musical Director for Matilda Junior and Disney’s Frozen Junior with Williams Creatives. Kay has been instrumental in Ellie’s growth as a performer and creative, and its impact continues to shape her journey in musical theatre.’’
Meet Alfie!
Alfie started his singing lessons with Kay when he was around 8/9 years old. Kay helped him to get a distinction in his grade 3 LCME exam and to pass his audition into Trinity College where he got a full sponsored scholarship!
Alfie in his young age has since gone on to perform in so many productions and roles such as:
Eric in Matilda the musical UK and Ireland tour
Micheal Darling in Peter Pan at Demonfort Hall
Nativity the Musical
Boo Who Grinch the Musical filmed forSky Tv
Merril in The Osmonds UK and Ireland tour
Joseph in Joseph and the Technicolor dreamcoat at Kilworth house!
Meet Dave!
‘‘I started singing lessons with Kay just wanting to improve my backing vocals for a band I was in at the time (I was a guitarist and harmonica player). I'd always sang a lot in the house but never felt like I was "properly" singing and "belting it out", if you know what I mean.
There are all kinds of hurdles to overcome first, some physical and some psychological but there was nothing quite like finishing a lesson feeling like you've made a real breakthrough!
I went from not feeling comfortable even listening to myself singing to becoming a solo musician/singer and also being a lead singer in a band. I'm really proud of myself for taking the time to learn something like this later on in my life and will be forever grateful to Kay for helping me to find my voice. I just wish that I could have overcome my youthful pride many years ago and took singing lessons earlier!’’ - Dave
